Application for Assistance Opens Oct 1st

Toys for Joy and the Christmas Committee provide a holiday meal and gifts for children to families across Anoka County. One application covers both. Appointment times are assigned in the order applications are received. Children under 18 receive gifts, and your household receives food for a holiday meal. If you are homebound, tell us on the application and we will bring it to you.

What Happens When You Apply?

1. Apply online – Fill out one short form with your contact information, your address, and everyone in your household — each child’s age and gift ideas too, so we can shop for the right food and gifts.

2. Watch your email – After we review your application, we will email you important updates and, if approved, your appointment details. If you opt in to text messages, we will also text updates and reminders.

3. Come pick out gifts. Come to your appointment, check in with a photo ID and a utility bill matching the address on your application, and pick out gifts for your kids, then receive a box of groceries to cook a holiday meal at home. This visit is for adults only — kids are encouraged to stay home. If you are homebound, our police and fire partners will deliver to your door.

Space is limited

We can only help as many families as our volunteers and supplies allow. Once we reach capacity, registration will close early — even if it is before the posted deadline. Apply as soon as you can.
